I'm so looking forward to my thirties, you have no idea. Everyone's twenties are all about searching and finding yourself. Every year, I was different! My twenties were a rollercoaster ride, so I'm looking forward to smooth sailing in my thirties. My audience is growing up with me, and I think that's good. I don't know what my music will always sound like, but I know it will always change…
Kelly Brianne Clarkson | April 24, 1982.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLY!
It’s a little shorter but her you go…
Bring You Back To Life
Let Me Go
"Everyone’s dating each other and it’s weird!" Miles laughed.
"Don’t feel obliged to join in," Jason chuckled.
"Yeah. It was first in, first served, so you’re stuck with the leftovers," Kelly giggled.
"I’m sure your management love this!" Kate laughed.
"Screw ‘em," Kelly shrugged.
"At this rate you might," Miles teased, Kelly slapping his arm.
"Are we gonna rehearse or make rude jokes?" Jason laughed.
"Probably both," Kelly grinned, grabbing her mic. Jill grabbed her guitar, coughing.
"You’re not getting sick are you?" Kate frowned.
"Hope not," Jill sighed, tuning the guitar. They finished the sound check, getting ready for the show that night. The girls warmed up backstage, Jill coughing.
"You don’t sound good," Jason frowned, stopping on his way past.
"That’s a great thing to tell a singer," Jill rolled her eyes.
"Not what I meant," he sighed. Jill shrugged, taking a drink of water to try and soothe her throat. They played the set, Jill’s voice getting quite hoarse by the end. Kelly noticed, keeping an eye on her to make sure she was okay. Once the show was over, they all mingled backstage.
"How are you doing?" Kate asked, Jill coughing again.
"Ouch," she winced. "That freakin’ hurt."
"No no no," Kelly said. "No talking."
"What?" Jill frowned.
"Trust me. You need to rest your voice."
"Hush!" Kelly laughed, putting her finger to her lips. Kelly didn’t let Jill talk the rest of the night or the next morning. It seemed to help a bit, but she didn’t mention how much her throat still hurt.
"Glad it’s her and not me," Kate laughed. "Imagine trying to keep me quiet!"
"It’s hard, isn’t it?" Kelly giggled, Jill nodding.
"Well you’re good at it."
They got ready for the show, Jill and Kate warming up.
"It’ll be alright," Jill sighed. She struggled through the set, feeling her voice going. It became so painful she had to stop, just playing the guitar. Kelly looked to her, Jill giving her an apologetic look. After the show, Kelly found Jill and pulled her into a hug.
"Sorry," Jill said, hardly able to speak.
"It’s not your fault," Kelly smiled sadly.
"I hate losing my voice," Jill frowned, kicking at the floor.
"It’s okay. We’ll take care of you," Kelly smiled, squeezing her hand gently.
Thank you!! I’ll definitely put some more up if I have time. I’m typing other stories right now :)
Bring You Back To Life
So there was a countdown here in Australia on a radio station called the Essential 1000. The voting system was sent by email, where people were asked to pick 3 of their essential songs. Just name them. No multiple choice or anything. I think our Kelly did pretty well :)
